Job Description
As a Team Leader of the Immigration Services Team, you will motivate and develop your team, actively role modelling a culture of continuous improvement and service quality, managing day to day performance, and improving capability as necessary to deliver a best-in-class service.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of Immigration Officers and Senior Officers, ensuring effective performance, development, and engagement.
- Execute the day-to-day operations of immigration operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employment permits, visas, and international transfers.
- Execute international transfers and secondments (including but not limited to coordinating immigration vendors, coordinating process with employees and People teams, preparing required documentation).
- Manage the documentation process for employment permits, including tracking expiration dates, collecting cost approvals, and raising orders for renewals.
- Ensure that all required documentation for international transfers and secondments is prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Act as the first point of escalation for employment permit change, renewal, and international transfer-related queries, delivering excellent customer service and resolution.
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations, proactively identifying risks and implementing controls to mitigate them.
- Ensure that all immigration and relocation processes are standardized and aligned with global policies while being responsive to local market needs.
- Liaise with other People Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of immigration processes with broader People functions.
- Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders regarding immigration-related queries and processes.
- Track and report on all employment permit changes and renewals documentation activities across all regions, ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs.
Your Profile
- 3+ years’ experience in global mobility or employment permit administration, legal background would be considered as advantage.
- Experience in team management or a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Experience in Immigration and/or internal global mobility
- Fluent in English (both in speaking and writing), other language would be considered as advantage.
- Higher education.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks when working with high volume of assignments.
- High attention to detail combined with computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).
- Positive attitude and good communication skills, strong stakeholders’ management skills.
- Project management skills and experience would be considered as advantage.
