Senior Software Engineer

Location: 

Vilnius, LT

As a software engineer at alterDomus platform team, you will be involved in analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of a high-performance transaction system. You will be using modern development tools and methods to deliver software solutions to our business units and clients.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


•    Analyze, design, and implement software solutions
•    Understand the business processes necessary to interact with the user community, functional resources, and technical teams
•    Comply with standards and best practices of software development, and produce quality code
•    Develop and maintain unit and integration acceptance tests
•    Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement
•    Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes
•    Investigate and use new technologies where relevant
•    Collaboration with dedicated application support team
•    Documentation through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code commend and clear code
•    Lead and mentor software engineers by providing advice and coaching

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


•    Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
•    Three to Five years of relevant experience
•    Profession with one of the object-oriented languages, such as C# or Java
•    Profession with one of the web front-end frameworks, such as Angular or React
•    In depth knowledge and skills with database, data modeling and SQL coding

 

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


•    Thorough understanding of a feature, the users impacted, the flows impacted and feature's purpose
•    Technical designs are clear, well thought out, and considers dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability and ease of support
•    Considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
•    Understands the team's domain, how work in this domain relates to the team's objectives and deliverables and how it contributes to overall business strategy and how technical strategy maps to this
•    Thoroughly understands the business model in relation to their current product focus area
•    Ability to analyze the bigger picture, identifying and prioritizing with the aim to consider more than one domain within an analysis
•    Looks for opportunities to simplify product and technical design
•    Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
•    Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Salary from €45,000 Gross Annually
