Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, as Revenue Accounting Senior Officer, you will be a key contributor to the team responsible for worldwide revenue reporting and revenue recognition for Alter Domus' legal entities. You will support specific regions and work in conjunction with other team members to ensure the accuracy of global revenue under IFRS and Local GAAP for the entities in your scope. You will collaborate with different business partners within Alter Domus and support the audit process.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Revenue Accounting & Compliance

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for assigned entities/regions in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP
  • Perform revenue recognition analysis and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Review and validate revenue transactions, ensuring proper documentation and controls

 

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of revenue-related sections of financial statements and disclosures
  • Analyze revenue trends and variances, providing commentary to the Revenue Accounting Manager
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand revenue streams and address revenue-related inquiries
  • Liaise with regional finance teams to ensure consistency in revenue recognition practices
  • Coordinate with the billing and collections teams to resolve revenue discrepancies

 

Audit Support & Documentation

  • Prepare audit documentation and schedules for internal and external auditors
  • Respond to audit queries related to revenue transactions in a timely manner
  • Maintain comprehensive working papers to support revenue accounting positions

 

Process Improvement & Development

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting processes
  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices within the revenue accounting function
  • Support system enhancements and participate in finance transformation projects

 

Team Collaboration

  • Support other team members during peak periods and provide backup coverage as needed
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the team
  • Uphold high standards of compliance, ethics, and risk control
 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of combined experience in audit, accounting, and/or financial reporting, ideally gained within Big4 firms and/or multinational organizations
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, particularly as it relates to revenue recognition (IFRS 15 / ASC 606)
  • Strong technical accounting skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) in progress or completed is advantageous but not required
  • Experience in the financial services or alternative investments industry
  • Prior involvement in finance process improvements or system implementations
