Funds Services Senior Manager - Singapore

For our office in Singapore, we are looking for a veteran fund administrator with extensive exposure to Private Equity and/or Real Estate Funds.   • Managing the fund services teams and provide guidance to the managers on how to run their teams more efficiently, manage resources, and be the key escalation point for client matters;
  • Be responsible for ensuring the teams meet the client deliverables in a timely manner, and at all times ensuring the integrity and quality of the financial statements, investor reports, notices, etc.;
  • Lead the onboarding process for new fund clients from involvement in the sales cycle, providing technical/operational input, through to delivery of the first reporting, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the process;
  • As the central point of contact for new clients, managing all aspects of the steps required for onboarding including (but not limited to) completion of the client acceptance process, legal contracting, system and reporting setup, investor KYC and importantly coordinating regular updates with the client on the progress in line with the fund launch / transfer in timeline;
  • Combining your industry experience with a deep understanding of Alter Domus systems and processes, you will build a structured framework to ensure a consistent onboarding experience for new clients, promoting the use of standard reporting packs and system setup;
  • Promoting the use of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence (CoE) for our clients, you will coordinate effectively with the CoE team along with other Alter Domus teams for multi-jurisdictional funds and facilitate the workflow between the fund services teams and the CoE teams;
  • You will use the experience you have acquired in the past as well as excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, the ability to prioritize tasks and leadership skills to help the wider team perform and grow. Your colleagues will benefit from your good listening skills and tailored coaching (including on technical topics);
  • As a member of the senior management team in Singapore you have a central role in key internal projects (e.g. product development, organizational improvements, and technical improvements).




  • 8-12 years of relevant work experience, preferably in fund houses, fund administrators and/or Big 4;
  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ISCA/ACCA/CPA/AICPA/ACA);
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in any other Asian languages, in particular Japanese or Korean would be considered an asset;
  • You are mature, detail-oriented and able to inspire confidence in others;
  • You have experience in leading teams and the ability to ensure that multiple (often competing) deadlines are met;
  • Possess experience in dealing directly with a range of clients, skillful in the management of their expectations, in relation to both technical and other operational topics;
  • Capable of identifying and anticipating possible problem areas, you will be able to accurately measure potential risks and offer suitable solutions to clients;
  • Deep knowledge of industry practice and trends for Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Venture Capital and Debt Funds and the ability to share knowledge with colleagues and clients/prospects alike;
  • Knowledge of industry specific accounting systems such as eFront or YARDI would be a distinct advantage.
