Compliance Manager - Jersey

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

As a manager, you will be based in and working on Jersey related compliance and AML related tasks.

 

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Performing the MLRO role for Alter Domus (Jersey) Limited (“ADJ”);
  • Providing the Compliance Officer & MLRO & MLCO function for Jersey regulated entities administered by ADJ including the preparation and presentation of relevant reporting to the boards of these entities;
  • Ensuring that client due diligence is collected to the appropriate standard in order to comply with the JFSC’s AML/CFT Handbook;
  • Ensuring that compliance monitoring is undertaken in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan to ensure that ADJ remains compliant with all applicable regulatory and AML/CFT requirements;
  • Ensuring that compliance monitoring is undertaken in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan for all of the Jersey regulated entities to ensure that they remain compliant with all applicable regulatory and AML/CFT requirements;
  • Preparing relevant reporting to the Board of ADJ as required;
  • Assisting in the day to day management of the compliance team for ADJ;
  • Assisting in maintaining internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local standards as the business develops;
  • Providing support and training to the staff of ADJ as required in respect of compliance and AML matters;
  • Assisting the Compliance Officer on Alter Domus Group projects as required.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • You have a strong working knowledge of the Jersey regulatory framework and AML / CFT Handbook;
  • You have 5 to 7 years financial services experience, preferably in a Compliance team environment;
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years working experience of Jersey Funds preferably in a Compliance team environment;
  • You preferably will have acted in the capacity as MLRO or MLCO of a Jersey regulated entity;
  • You preferably have completed the International Diploma in Compliance or Money Laundering or equivalent compliance qualification.
