This non-client facing role is essential to securing robust VAT governance across the Group and offers high visibility within Finance, Legal, Operations and external advisors. As AD is also providing VAT advice, I would stress that it is an internal function.

•    Assist in overseeing VAT compliance across AD jurisdictions.

•    Support the mapping and quantification of VAT leakage and irrecoverable VAT across entities.
•    Review VAT implications of intercompany flows.
•    Identify opportunities to improve VAT efficiency.
Processes, Controls & Documentation
•    Contribute to the standardization of VAT processes, templates and internal controls.
•    Prepare and maintain VAT documentation, workpapers and audit trails.
•    Assist in the development of VAT dashboards and KPIs.
•    Support improvements to ERP VAT settings and data integrity.
Projects & Advisory Support
•    Lead workstreams relating to reorganisations, system changes, new entity setups and cross-border business initiatives.
•    Coordinate with external advisors for technical questions and complex filings.
•    Prepare internal memos, briefing notes and summaries for management.

Qualifications & Experience:

•    6-8 years of relevant experience ideally gained in Big Four Luxembourg VAT teams, or in-house roles within multinational or financial services organizations.
•    Solid knowledge of Luxembourg VAT law, invoicing rules, place-of-supply principles and reverse-charge mechanisms
•    Proven hands-on experience with Luxembourg VAT compliance and technical rules.
•    Solid understanding of EU VAT frameworks and cross-border VAT implications.
•    Strong analytical and accounting skills with experience handling VAT reconciliations and ledger reviews.
•    Languages: Fluent in English; other languages French/German/Spanish)
•    Willingness to travel internationally as required (for audits, business units, tax authority meetings).
•    Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP VAT configuration highly desirable (SAP)
