Reporting to the Head of Depositary Services Luxembourg, you will be responsible for leading ADLU’s Depositary department, currently comprising of approximately 55 staff providing day to day depositary work in line with high quality standard services for Alternative Investment clients, representing today 700+ funds for a total AUM around €170bn and with a revenue of approximately €25+ mil p.a.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Main responsibilities will include:

 

  • You will be accountable for the operational results of Alter Domus Depositary services in Luxembourg.
  • You will ensure client satisfaction and high level of quality service delivery.
  • You will build and lead high performing teams, build an efficient depositary target operating model.
  • You will keep procedures and policies up to date in line with regulatory developments.
  • You will report and present at board level and act as Conducting Officer in line with AD governance standard and representing the legal entity to outside parties.
  • You will drive a high-performance culture, with clear accountabilities, driving and improving cross-functional collaboration.
  • You will empower the teams at all levels to meet the Depositary requirements, mitigate risks and provide quality deliverables.
  • You will manage capability of the teams in line with company objectives, manage performance and developing talent.
  • As a leader, you will be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team and supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
  • You will drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
  • You will maintain a relentless focus on cost and budget discipline, driving a culture of accountability.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • You will bring with you a minimum 10 years’ technical experience in the depositary field.
  • You will have intellectual curiosity and a global mind-set, allowing you to partner effectively with agility and flexibility.
  • You will possess strong interpersonal skills – influencing and building trust quickly, navigating complexity with confidence and negotiating with tenacity and focus.
  • You will be comfortable operating at all levels with confidence and political sensitivity.
  • You will be adept at leading through change, maintaining a relentless focus on the development and motivation of all employees as a coach and mentor.
  • You will demonstrate a strong commitment to high integrity and ethics.
  • You will have a disciplined approach to strategic business planning and development. You will drive, monitor and maintain a culture of compliance and risk control.

  • Team: leading a team of approximately 55 individuals, with further FTE growth forecast.
  • Leadership: act as a strong support to the Head of Depositary Services, Regional Executive and Global Product Head.
  • Business Development, Sales Team and Relationship Management Team.
  • Clients and Prospects (from C-Level down to business Heads).
  • Regional Leaders, BU Leaders, Directors and Senior Managers.
  • Local / Regional Service Delivery Leaders.
