We are offering a 6-months internship in the Compliance team of our Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM).
As a Compliance trainee you will play a key role in supporting the Compliance Team and Management of the AIFM ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to the development of a tech-enabled compliance function.
This 6-month trainee position will provide you with hands-on experience and insights into the compliance landscape and associated technological tools.

Key Responsibilities:
• Compliance activities: Assist the Compliance team by contributing to a variety of essential tasks. This includes conducting Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering control testing, managing conflicts of interest, and monitoring personal transactions. You will also be involved in handling complaints and supporting compliance training initiatives. Additionally, you will help update policies and track the approval process, record compliance issues and monitor implementation of remedial actions, and conduct regulatory watch activities. Your role will also encompass maintaining registers, managing shared mailboxes, and organizing files to ensure efficient compliance operations.
• Compliance Tools Implementation & Enhancement: assist in the implementation and enhancement of compliance tools aimed at streamlining compliance processes. This includes gathering, formatting, and organizing data to facilitate its upload into the existing and new Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering tools. You will collaborate with Senior Compliance Officers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data, as well as assist in testing and validating the new systems to ensure they meet operational requirements. Additionally, you will support the documentation of processes and procedures related to these new systems.
• Coordination & Reporting: Help coordinate with other control functions by collecting and organizing necessary documentation, facilitating data collection, preparing. You will also contribute to enhancing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) dashboards and assist in the preparation of reports for Senior Management and Regulators.
• Additional Tasks: Undertake any other relevant tasks as assigned to support the overall compliance function within the AIFM.
Your profile
• You are pursuing a master’s degree in finance, business, law or a related field.
• You have a strong interest in the investment fund management sector, regulatory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering. A major, coursework, or previous internship experience in those fields is a plus.
• You possess strong communication skills and can effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• You are proficient in English. Knowledge of French is a plus, and any additional language skills are an asset.
• You demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
• You have a good command of Office 360; advanced Excel and data analytics capabilities are a plus.
• You are proactive, a quick learner, and consistently strive for results.
