Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will be taking a role of a project manager for complex initiatives driven by the Accounting/Finance team, as well as taking a hands-on role in maintaining, customizing and optimizing the firm’s Enterprise Resource Planning system / SAP S4 HANA. This role will play a key part in supporting the ongoing finance transformation and ensuring the system’s full potential is leveraged to drive organizational growth and efficiency to help Alter Domus achieve its ambitious growth objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ensure that in-scope projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks before the project begins.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and progress.
  • Provide concrete guidance on what everyone needs to do and the most efficient way to complete each step.
  • Make decisions and adjustments to project deadlines or particular assignments as needed.
  • Handle dependencies between projects, ensuring they are sequenced correctly and resources are available when needed.
  • Participate in the development, management and deployment of the ERP roadmap for finance systems ensuring alignment with Alter Domus strategy and business objectives.
  • Participate in the SAP S4 HANA activities, including managing configuration, customization, and deployment to meet business and financial requirements.
  • Participate in the design and ongoing evolution of the SAP system architecture, ensuring it is scalable, flexible, and future proof.
  • Oversee the integration of SAP with other key enterprise systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, CRM, BI tools) to create a cohesive, streamlined, and efficient IT ecosystem.
  • Ensure data flows seamlessly between systems, reducing manual intervention and enhancing real-time reporting capabilities.
  • Support monthly financial close and forecasting processes as well as the annual budget and long-range planning cycles.
  • Provide input and oversight of internal processes with respect to SAP ERP master data, hierarchies, and reporting.
  • Implement best practices for data governance within SAP ERP, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across financial operations. Define and monitor KPIs to ensure data reliability for decision-making purposes.
  • Work closely with IT and functional teams to develop, test, and implement customizations to SAP, where necessary, to meet unique business needs.
  • Ensure that SAP ERP is secure, compliant with all relevant regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and that appropriate user roles, permissions, and audit controls are in place to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and integrations.
  • As a senior leader, you will also be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels. 
  • Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.

 

PROFILE

 

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance systems management, with a strong focus on ERP environments (ideally S4 HANA)
  • Experience in setting-up and managing consolidation would be a strong asset
  • Experience in setting-up and managing FX rules is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience of managing complex tech-driven projects
  • Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience in the financial services or alternative investments industry is desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to understand and resolve finance issues using technology-driven solutions.
  • Proven track record of leading system implementation or transformations, working cross-functionally with senior leaders and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digital transformation.
