Alter Domus is seeking a Data Risk Manager who will be responsible for working with senior management to establish, maintain and oversee the organization’s data risks. Working alongside the Group Risk and Resilience function, your responsibilities will include:


•    You will develop, maintain, evaluate, and implement policies, procedures, and standards  aligned with business, compliance and/or regulatory requirements. You will propose data risk appetite.
•    You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with an organization's data, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability while complying with regulations, including GDPR, the European AI Act EBA and DORA.
•    You will understand market best practice data governance in a dynamic digital landscape of commercially fast-growing companies with a strong technology focus. 
•    You have an interest and understanding of data in a generative AI environment. 
•    You will evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls through testing and clearly document findings.
•    You will monitor and report on data-related Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and metrics for senior management and board-level committees. 
•    Communicate policy and control non-compliance and collaborate on remediation plans with control owners.
•    You will be a pragmatic partner to the business by providing counsel on data related risks and an influential resource for technology partners by supporting control integration in business-as-usual operations.
•    You will investigate data incidents.
•    You will maintain, develop and apply a deep knowledge of current best practice information security controls particularly those that may directly impact Alter Domus.
•    You will manage, mentor, and train staff to promote growth and continued education.
•    You will partner with Data Protection and Compliance teams to ensure data classification, encryption, retention, and disposal controls are effective.  

 

YOUR PROFILE


•    You will have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or legal field or related field or equivalent work experience. 
•    You will bring with you a minimum 10 years of data and personal data (incl. GDPR) career experience.
•    You must have experience in data risk management, with a good understanding of IT systems/infrastructure and control.
•    You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to organize work in a logical, thorough and succinct manner.
•    You will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management and how internal and external stakeholders are affected.
•    You will have knowledge of risk management taxonomy, processes, analyses, and tools.
•    You will have effective written and verbal English communications skills.
