The Transformation Officer is an intellectually curious, analytically driven role at the foundation of the Transformation Office. Working as a core member of a transformation program team, this individual supports the delivery of discrete workstreams by conducting structured business analysis, gathering and synthesising operational data, mapping processes, engaging with subject matter experts, and producing clear outputs that drive informed decision-making and program progress.

This is an ideal role for an early-career professional with the mindset of a consultant — someone who is energised by problem-solving, takes initiative to dig into the detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality, rigorous work. The Transformation Officer will work closely alongside global process owners, operations teams, and lines of business, gaining broad exposure to the firm's operations and technology landscape while contributing meaningfully to real transformation outcomes from day one.

Your Responsibilities

🔷 Analysis & Research

  • Conduct structured current-state analysis to understand existing processes, workflows, roles, and operational pain points, through interviews, workshops, and data review
  • Gather, clean, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain process maps, data models, and analytical frameworks that underpin workstream findings and recommendations
  • Analyse interdependencies between people, process, technology, and governance elements of the operating model, under the guidance of the Senior Officer or Program Lead
  • Proactively research best practices, benchmarks, and comparable approaches to inform solution design
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, options papers, and other analytical outputs that inform senior decision-making

🔷 Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Engage day-to-day with global process owners, operations teams, and lines of business to gather information, validate analysis, and support the change process
  • Support the facilitation of workshops and interviews with stakeholders across functions to capture requirements, surface pain points, and gather input
  • Assist in translating business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories for technology and process workstreams
  • Support change impact assessments and stakeholder mapping activities
  • Build constructive working relationships with subject matter experts and operational counterparts across the business
  • Communicate findings and workstream updates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, in a manner appropriate to the audience

🔷 Technology-Enabled Transformation

  • Support work with Global Process Owners, Tech, Product, and Operations teams to understand technology solutions and their implications for the operating model
  • Contribute to the definition of functional requirements and business logic for tech-enabled tools, workflows, and automation opportunities
  • Develop an active awareness of AI and agentic AI tools and their potential to create value within transformation workstreams, in line with Alter Domus's AI governance framework
  • Assist in ensuring alignment between business processes and system capabilities, flagging gaps and inconsistencies for resolution

🔷 Workstream Support & Delivery

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of assigned workstreams, taking ownership of defined tasks and deliverables within the broader program plan
  • Maintain up-to-date workstream documentation, including process maps, trackers, issue logs, and meeting notes
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and insights to inform program governance and decision-making
  • Participate in testing, user acceptance, and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies promptly, with an initial view on potential solutions
  • Demonstrate a self-starter attitude — proactively progressing work without waiting for direction, and consistently delivering to a high standard

🔷 Change Management & Documentation

  • Support the design and delivery of change activities, including communications, training materials, and readiness assessments
  • Help identify change resistance and contribute to strategies that build engagement and adoption across impacted teams
  • Produce clear, well-structured documentation of current-state and future-state processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and knowledge assets to enable smooth transition to new ways of working
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer activities and ensure workstream outputs are thoroughly recorded and accessible for BAU teams

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • 3-4 years of professional experience in management consulting, business analysis, operations, financial services, or a related analytical field; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a structured and compelling way
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to build clean models and well-structured presentations
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset — intellectually curious, eager to learn, and comfortable taking initiative in ambiguous situations
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • High levels of personal drive, ownership, and accountability

  • Familiarity with technology concepts such as workflow automation, system integration, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA/CBAP) or Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, CSPO) a plus
