Your role

Our organization is recruiting an experienced and motivated SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Cross- Functional Generalist In-House Expert to join our SAP IT department. The role works in close and structured partnership with the relevant Process Owners on the business side - while process design, process analysis, and data ownership remain firmly within the remit of the Process Owners, this role is responsible for translating business and process requirements into robust, well-configured SAP system solutions.

  • Manage and resolve incidents and system issues across assigned scope areas in a timely and structured manner, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Monitor and maintain system integrity and data consistency across all relevant modules and integrations, including those that span multiple process domains
  • Coordinate and lead testing activities (unit testing, integration testing, UAT) for system changes, enhancements, and quarterly SAP Public Cloud release updates across the relevant scope
  • Act as the dedicated IT counterpart to the CD Professional Services Process Owners, while also maintaining effective working relationships with Process Owners across other domains
  • Receive, challenge where appropriate, and translate business and process requirements provided by Process Owners into effective SAP system configurations and solutions
  • Proactively advise Process Owners on system capabilities, constraints, and opportunities within the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud platform
  • Support Process Owners in evaluating new SAP functionalities delivered through quarterly release cycles, providing technical assessment and implementation coordination where agreed
  • Ensure all system changes are fully aligned with process decisions and data rules defined by the Process Owners prior to implementation
  • Identify and propose system-driven improvements and automation opportunities within the live SAP environment, in close collaboration with the relevant Process Owners
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud roadmap across relevant domains and proactively bring innovations to the attention of Process Owners and IT management
  • Ensure all system configurations comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards (IFRS 15, local GAAP, and SOX where applicable)
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate system documentation, configuration records, and evidence of IT controls
  • Collaborate with Process Owners to ensure that process controls are accurately reflected and enforced within the SAP system
  • Work closely with other SAP in-house experts (e.g., R2R, P2P, Treasury) to ensure end-to-end process coherence and to manage cross-functional dependencies and integration points effectively
