As a Senior Officer/Manager, Software Engineering at Alter Domus in Hyderabad, India, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of skilled software engineers, ensuring the successful development and delivery of software solutions for the syndicated loan market and other financial products. You will be responsible for managing projects, mentoring team members, and providing technical expertise in C#, JavaScript, and T-SQL programming. Your ability to troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues will be crucial in optimizing our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers based in Hyderabad, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Project Management: Manage software development projects from conception to delivery, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, and T-SQL to contribute to software development efforts and provide technical guidance to the team.
Database Optimization: Identify and troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues to ensure optimal database performance and reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, define project scope, and prioritize tasks.
Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality standards and best practices.
Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of code, processes, and project plans.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently, balancing workload and skillsets within the team.
Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations for team members, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies and encourage your team to do the same.
Financial Product Knowledge: Leverage knowledge of the syndicated loan market or financial products to provide insights and guide development efforts (experience in this area is a plus).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and T-SQL programming.
Proven ability to troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues.
8+ years of experience in software engineering and project management.
Experience in production support and ability to talk to US clients and troubleshoot issues live is desirable. This is a nigth shift role to work as per EST time zone.
Knowledge of the syndicated loan market or experience with financial products is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
