JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

As a Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the credit analysis team in evaluating the creditworthiness of portfolio companies and assisting in the monitoring of client’s credit portfolios. You will work closely with senior analysts and other internal teams to gather and analyze financial data, contribute to credit assessments, and help maintain the integrity of our credit analysis services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Interpret capital structures and liquidity profiles of portfolio companies to assess financial health.
  • Calculate key credit metrics and leverage ratios to assess credit worthiness of portfolio companies.
  • Assist in the onboarding and monitoring of new portfolio companies by analyzing financial statements, lender presentations, compliance certificates, and credit memos.
  • Review and assess financial data sets to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Liaise with internal teams to address credit and financial queries, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the building and updating of historical financial models and portfolio models under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client credit reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Standardise corporate management accounts to client’s financial and credit templates.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in finance, credit analysis, or a related area (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
  • Strong analytical skills with a foundational understanding of financial statement analysis, fundamental data and credit mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in calculations and ratios used to assess the creditworthiness of portfolio companies.
  • Basic knowledge of capital structures and liquidity profiles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modeling concepts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
