Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly waterfall and carried interest calculations, along with variance analysis for private equity and real estate funds.
• Collaborate with members of the Financial Control, Client Service, Implementation, and Technology teams to help streamline production processes and enhance policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) initiatives for junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Support internal and external communications regarding project status, issues, and expectations to maintain transparency and alignment.
• Read and analyze fund agreements to develop a foundational understanding of fund structures and assist in translating these structures into working models for accurate reporting.
• Develop proficiency in CapAssure waterfall automation software, contributing to the creation of specifications to automate client waterfalls and improve efficiency.
• Analyze fund accounting data and assist in configuring the CapAssure system based on the specific data requirements of each fund.
• Provide support to fund administration colleagues and clients on waterfall and software-related inquiries.
• Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client expectations.
• Demonstrate initiative by contributing to projects and providing input to enhance team performance.
• Assist in waterfall onboarding projects and support associated timelines to ensure successful implementation.

 Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant professional accounting and finance experience, preferably in a fund administration or alternative investment firm.
• Experience with fund administration software such as Yardi, Investran, Allvue, or eFront.
• Experience in calculating private equity or real estate complex waterfalls including master, feeder and consolidated, JV, open funds and closed end funds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis techniques.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
