Key Responsibilities: 

  • Actively contribute to the day-to-day and month-end, quarter-end and year-end books close process (incl. but not limited to recording of accruals/prepaids, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts etc); 

  • Investigating full balance sheet and profit and loss variances against different benchmarks and providing variance analysis and associated explanations as part of the books closing process; 

  • Actively supporting the preparation of VAT, tax returns and other regulatory reporting; 

  • Involvement in the annual audit process and preparation of the annual financial statements; 

  • Collaborate with external parties as may be required; 

  • Actively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices; 

Basic qualifications: 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or economics; 

  • 2 to 3 years experience of the relevant experience would be an advantage;

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) would be an advantage;  

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digit transformation.

  • You are fluent in both English and French;  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French would be an advantage; 

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills and strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation; 

  • Ability to check and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; 

  • You possess team spirit, ability to work in demanding and high-pressure environment, motivation to work well as an individual and as a team and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.  

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Working towards an ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification; 

  • SAP S4 Hana knowledge will be considered an asset; 

  • Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes and technology challenges in order to identify issues and opportunities.
