Alter Domus is seeking a Security Operations Manager to join its Group Information Security team. This position will be a vital leader responsible for designing and implementing standard operating procedures for threat remediation with the support of our third-party SOC monitoring. As the team leader, the applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a framework for incident triage, incident response, security monitoring & reporting, and supporting security projects in collaboration with other internal teams and vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead the security team’s daily operations including task management, escalations, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.
  • Managing timely responses to security incidents and requests.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for common tasks.
  • Establish and oversee security incident response procedures.
  • Implement and manage security monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s assets and data.
  • Assist with assurance inspections & governance tasks performed by the Information Security team.
  • Work directly with Managed Service Providers to document escalation and remediation procedures as well as regularly monitor Service Level Agreements.
  • Evaluate security tools such as antimalware, EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, and PAM solutions and oversee their implementation and maintenance.
  • Oversee the training of Security Analysts and Officers.
  • Develop operational KPI reports used to drive more effective processes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 5-8 years of experience in the security industry.
  • 2 years of managing a team focused on detecting, troubleshooting, and mitigating threats.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with crisis or incident management.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes and controls such as access management, change management, and IT operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
