JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Alter Domus is currently seeking an ESG Risk Officer to join our Cork office, working closely with the Head of ESG. You will support ESG monitoring, carbon footprint management, and data collection in accordance with the latest regulatory frameworks, while coordinating sustainability initiatives across the organization.

 

This role combines data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and practical knowledge of ESG frameworks. You'll track emissions data, support regulatory reporting, manage ESG-related requests, and work with teams across departments and locations to implement sustainability initiatives that meet business and compliance requirements.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring of emerging global and industry trends in sustainability reporting, legislation, innovation, and regulation.
  • Assist in managing AlterDomus's carbon footprint and associated reporting, including supporting the calculation and tracking of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of AlterDomus's decarbonization plan
  • Support the coordination of ESG initiatives across departments and multiple jurisdiction to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist with ESG data collection, reporting, and disclosure in accordance with ESG regulations and Frameworks such as CSRD and TCFD.
  • Help identify ESG-related risks and support the development of mitigation strategies for integration into enterprise risk management
  • Support the preparation of ESG reports and help communicate progress to stakeholders, regulators, and the public
  • Assist in organizing ESG training and awareness programs to promote a sustainability culture across the organization
  • Respond to vendor and customer ESG-related requests.
  • Assist in Managing and coordinating CSR initiatives and charitable programs, including evaluating charitable requests, supporting employee volunteering initiatives,

 

Your profile

  • Education: Recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Data Management
  • Experience: Previous internship or entry-level experience in Sustainability, Data Management, or related fields is desirable but not essential
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of or interest in the fund industry, Carbon Accounting, GHG Protocol, and ESG regulations such as CSRD
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic team player eager to learn and develop strong stakeholder relationships, Proactive and willing to take initiative while seeking guidance when needed, Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a genuine passion for sustainability.
