Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of accounting professionals (c.a. 5-6 people) who work cross-functionally with business teams across the region.
- Ownership of all operational activities in relation to your teams’ scope (including the month-close activities), ensuring that relevant deadlines are met.
- Conduct comprehensive investigation of the full balance sheet and profit and loss statements to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Preparation and review of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
- Oversee and be involved in the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions of the organization; ensuring compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
- Reviewing of periodic VAT and tax returns.
- Reviewing of regulatory reporting.
- Involvement in the Group’s annual budget process.
- Manage the annual audit process and preparation of the annual financial statements. Coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with local reporting requirements and tax regulations.
- Ad hoc reporting and other accounting tasks as required.
- Collaborate with external parties as may be required.
- Assist the business to achieve commercial objectives, including the ability to act as an adviser on financial matters.
- As a leader you will be responsible for driving change when necessary, delivering communications and directions to the team in supporting the development and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, customers and other external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.
- Promote ethical business practices, enhancing the company's reputation and social impact and ensuring Alter Domus maintains the highest Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) standards.
PROFILE
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CPA.
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting regulations (IFRS) and procedures.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience in the financial services or alternative investments industry is highly desirable.
- SAP S4 Hana knowledge will be considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digit transformation.
- You are able to work effectively, respecting all deadlines with minimal management, guidance/supervision.
