YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting to the Head of Technology Procurement, you will play a key role in managing a significant portion of Alter Domus’ €90M annual Technology spend across Cloud, Software and Hardware.  You will support the execution of sourcing strategies, drive commercial value, and strengthen vendor relationships across Alter Domus. Working closely with the wider Procurement team and stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to improving margin, optimising cost structures, and elevating procurement maturity across Technology procurement
Specifically, you will support:


Commercial Delivery


•    Lead end to end sourcing activity including market analysis, RFP preparation, bid assessment, supplier negotiation and contract support;
•    Apply commercial acumen and negotiation skills to secure best total value and optimal total cost of ownership;
•    Be comfortable and efficient in applying leverage in commercial negotiations;
•    Harness your expert knowledge of the industry and the commercial models that exist to ensure that Alter Domus has optimised commercial and vendor relationships;
•    Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with less than 100% data;
•    Implement a robust set of KPIs and measurement practices to ensure best-in-class supplier agreements, interacting with strategic suppliers and partners to Alter Domus to ensure any issues are identified and tacked fast while building proactive and positive supplier relationships to enhance their performance for the firm;
•    Ability to build categories and long-term strategic plans whilst also being able to deliver operationally. The role is a combination of strategic and operational;
•    Lead all elements of spend management for your categories, including strategic understanding of the supply market place, pricing and term negotiations, preparation and analysis of bid proposals/packages, supplier selection, negotiation and communication with users across Alter Domus and the functions.


Stakeholder Engagement


•    Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Risk and other global functions to understand requirements, influence demand and deliver robust, transparent procurement processes;
•    Partner across all global functions to develop and implement optimal strategic sourcing strategies as well as the with the wider business to drive margin improvements while increasing the sophistication of our sourcing and procurement practices;
•    Build trusted, collaborative relationships across the organisation, acting as a knowledgeable and solutions oriented business partner.


Operational & Process Excellence


•    Contribute to the Procurement Transformation through adoption of new processes, tools, analytics and ways of working.
•    Be comfortable with ambiguity whilst the Procurement Transformation is being implemented (Orchestration, CM, Spend Analytics and Market Intelligence);
•    Maintain a strong understanding of the Technology supply market and commercial models to support informed decision making;
•    Implement and track KPIs, performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms to ensure supplier and category performance is well managed;
•    Support the development of procurement documentation, playbooks and best practices.


In addition you will need to:

•    Promote and build Alter Domus' brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to employees, clients, and customers and other external stakeholders;
•    Support the development and engagement of employees at all levels, actively promoting the Employer Value Proposition within all regional teams and role modelling the Alter Domus values to our people, clients and customers;
•    Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
•    Drive a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks;

YOUR PROFILE

 

•    Experience in procurement roles, ideally within a financial services or professional services environment for 5 - 10 years.  However, attitude and ability to showcase delivery excellence is more important than industry knowledge;
•    Strong knowledge of Technology categories (Cloud, Software, Hardware);
•    Solid understanding of Category Management and strategic procurement methodologies.  More importantly, applying this knowledge in a fit for purpose manner;
•    Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation capabilities;
•    Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on operational delivery;
•    Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
